Will NCAA coaches be on the sidelines evaluating?
Yes. The Cleveland Elite 80 is built around NCAA coach exposure. Our goal is to provide direct sideline evaluation opportunities for college coaches, alongside detailed rosters and player information, while always staying in full compliance with NCAA recruiting rules and contact periods.
What does the $325 registration fee cover?
The $325 fee (paid only after you are selected and invited) covers your roster spot, all games at John Carroll University, event operations, NCAA coach exposure, on-site athletic training, reversible event pinnie, and player profile inclusion for college coaches. Travel, lodging, and meals are not included unless otherwise noted.

How are players selected for The Cleveland Elite 80 Showcase?
Selection is based on verified performance at the high school and club levels, coach recommendations, and previous showcase or camp evaluations. For the 2027 showcase, our staff evaluates Class of 2028 & 2029 athletes and builds the final list of 80 players to ensure a fast, highly competitive environment across all positions.
Who can apply or be considered?
The Showcase is built specifically for Class of 2028 & 2029 high-level high school boys’ lacrosse athletes who project as potential college players. Exact grad years and eligibility details will be outlined on the nomination and interest forms, but you should be a varsity-impact or high-end club player competing at a top level in your region.
Who nominates players for the event?
Players are nominated primarily by high school and club coaches who know their game best. We also review recommendations from trusted evaluators and event partners. Qualified athletes may submit an interest form, but final selection is driven by coach and evaluator input.
What happens if I’m selected but can’t attend?
If you are invited and cannot attend, you must notify us as soon as possible so we can offer your spot to another high-level player. Refund and credit policies will be clearly stated in your invitation email and registration form. Because roster spots are extremely limited, late cancellations may be subject to reduced or no refund.
Will there be film or video available?
Yes. Our goal is for every game to be filmed in high definition with angles that are useful for recruiting. Details on how to access game film — whether included in your fee or offered through a film partner — will be provided well ahead of the event so players and families can plan.
What positions are being evaluated?
All field positions are evaluated: attack, midfield, faceoff specialists, LSMs, close defense, and goalies. Rosters are built to showcase impact players at each position, and NCAA coaches will receive position-specific lists and notes to streamline their evaluation.
What gear should I bring?
Players must bring full game-ready equipment: helmet, mouthguard, gloves, shoulder pads, arm pads, stick(s), athletic shoes, and cleats suitable for the playing surface at John Carroll University. We provide an event reversible; you should bring your own practice shorts, base layers, tape, and any personal athletic training items you rely on.
Are parents and families allowed to attend?
Yes. Parents and families are welcome to attend and watch from designated spectator areas. We ask that families respect NCAA recruiting rules and allow coaches and staff to manage all on-field and sideline communication with players during the event.
How and when will I be notified if I’m invited?
Invitations are delivered directly to players and families via email, using contact information provided by coaches or through the interest form. Your invitation will include a clear deadline to accept your spot, complete online registration, and submit the $325 fee. Because rosters are capped at 80 players, missed deadlines may result in your spot being offered to another athlete.
Do you provide housing, meals, or travel support?
The Showcase is a one-day event in Northeast Ohio, and most players coordinate their own travel and lodging with their families or teams. We will share suggested hotels and local options, but housing, meals, and transportation are not included in the $325 registration fee unless otherwise specified in your invitation.
